Financial Aid

In order to qualify for any type of financial aid, financial need must be established.  Parents must complete the FACTS Grant & Aid application by February 19, 2010 (for 2010-11).  This application is available online at www.factstuitionaid.com.

There are three sources of financial aid offered to families of students at Bishop Sullivan Catholic High School:

  • The McMahon Parater Foundation for Education (MPF), distributed by the Diocese of Richmond; available to Catholic and Non-Catholic families.
  • The Increased Offertory Funds, distributed by the Diocese of Richmond; available to Catholic families.
  • Bishop Sullivan Catholic High School Aid, distributed by the Bishop Sullivan Catholic High School business office; available to Catholic families registered in and active in a local Catholic Parish.  Funding for this aid comes directly from local Catholic parishes.

Additional criteria for Bishop Sullivan Catholic High School aid include:

  • Academic Requirements:  Students of families receiving aid must maintain an overall “C” average each semester and must pass all courses.
  • Discipline:  Students of families receiving aid must maintain a pattern of satisfactory behavior.  Tuition assistance may be withdrawn if a student receives multiple suspensions.
  • Account Status:  All current Bishop Sullivan CHS bills must be paid in full, including tuition, activity fees and Sage Dining expenses.
  • Parent Service Hours:  Parents are required to complete all service hours no later than May 31 of the current school year.

FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment will also be conducting the financial needs analysis for The Diocese of Richmond for the upcoming 2010-2011 school year. Families applying for financial aid from MPF will need to complete an application and submit the necessary supporting documentation to FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment by April 15, 2010.   If you apply for financial aid from BSCHS (deadline 2/19), you are automatically eligible for aid consideration from the Diocese.  You DO NOT need to apply twice.
